The Morning Bun (Best Seller)
The Morning Bun started as John and Panh’s favorite college breakfast sandwich, the kind of meal you ate after late nights and early classes. We rebuilt it the OOU MAMI way: a soft egg soufflé, miso candied bacon, raspberry jam, and scallion butter on a baked fresh crispy bun.
The Char Siu Bun mi
The Char Siu Bun Mi was shaped by John and Panh’s travels through Hong Kong and the lessons they learned from Iron Chef Justin Chan. It brings together slow roasted BBQ pork, nose to tail house pâté, pickles, herbs, and scallion butter on a baked fresh crispy bun. The sandwich is built around traditional methods and real ingredients, from the more than 15 spices and aromatics layered into the char siu to the naturally red coloring from fermented red tofu. No artificial coloring, no shortcuts, just the kind of food that takes time.
Gochujang Tofu bun (Vegan)
The Gochujang Tofu Bun exists because John used to be vegan and had a hard time finding vegan food that actually felt complete. Too often it was treated like an afterthought. This sandwich was built to stand on its own, with double cooked tofu glazed in spicy gochujang sauce, rich mushroom pâté, pickles, herbs, and vegan scallion butter on a baked fresh crispy bun.

Egg Cream Coffee tells the story of making something from almost nothing. During periods of hardship and supply shortages in Vietnam, fresh milk was difficult to access, so people turned to condensed milk, eggs, and strong coffee to create something rich, comforting, and filling. Like soul food in the American South or other working class cuisines around the world, it came from necessity, adaptation, and creativity. OOU MAMI’s version stays rooted in that tradition, whipped thick and glossy with condensed milk, pasteurized egg yolk, and strong coffee.
